The current version tries to assign a rating but it seems to really weigh losses heavily as compared to wins. Overall a very fun chess engine. If playing the same age over and over Magnus gets really tough without selecting an older age. Or the app crashes / locks up. Apparently Magnus does not like to lose even in app form. :)

It was okay but it called the game stale mate when I was clearly only a few moves away from winning

I like the achievements! More please, plus I find the more human element more interesting. Makes stupid mistakes, even on intermediate. It has a lot of in app purchases, but besides the magnometer, it seems like fluff.

This app is not only instructional, it is addictive- I couldnt put it down!!.. There is something for everyone ,at every level, and I found it immediately fascinating and fun!!.....if I could only have one chess app , it would be this one!, hands down!- thank you, thank you, thank you Magnus Carlsen for being so brilliant and having an app as equally brilliant!!!.... Its awesome that I play Magnus at any age! I like this so I can train and beat him at older ages.

Not the best chess app out there, but it does feel like you are playing with a human opponent. The strength adjustment measured as Magnus age is a great idea. The style of play is credible, at least as a child: very good at tactics, not so well positionally. Good fun, overall.

The app was able to get me playing chess again. I like the npc skill-age concept. Nice learning videos too.
