Why there is no option to review a completed game? It is so inconvenient. The idea to sell 4-7 min video is awesome. It reminds the Secret.

Im not a pro at chess but this app still ia enjoyable by noobs that want to improve!

Play Magnus is the only chess app you will ever need and the best choice if you want to improve your game. Also, thanks to the Live Challenge, you could win the chance to meet the World Champion in person! What else a real chess player can ask for?

I normally dont prefer apps that offer in-app purchases, but in this case not only is the app of excellent quality (the AI plays remarkably like a human), but the proceeds go to Magnus Carlsen himself!

Needs more in the way of customizing board and pieces.

This is a very intuitive chess game. I wish the interface worked in landscape for iPad pro

This is a cool chess game, but it is very restricted to the computer that imitates Magnus.I encountered lock-ups on the birthyear registration which I could only escape via re-booting my device. Nevertheless, I prefer the competition and instruction of the Chess.Com app. I realize that bailing on the 8-year-old Magnus is early, but I don’t need the lock-up frustration in my life.

Ive had other chess apps, but they all start off at a higher difficulty than I could come close to beating. This one finally has something for absolute beginners, to full on pros!

The second best chess app in the store

Fun & addictive chess app. I never really got into chess before as it seemed to take so long to complete one game that I wouldnt want to play again for a while. However with an app like this at my fingertips and the ability to play games quickly/on the go it has become my favorite thing to do on the bus/train. Starting out playing the youngest version of Magnus is a good idea so you dont lose motivation (unless youre already a strong player). For me, 7 year old Magnus is quite challenging - I hate to think how good the 10 year old is!

This is a great app for kids like me who have just began chess. I downloaded the app a few minutes ago and so far Ive beaten 5-year old Magnus as a twelve year old beginner. Thats not much to be proud of, I know, but hey! Hes a grand master! The apps graphics are very nice and I havent experienced any problems during the past 10 minutes.

Insightful, challenging, and most importantly fun.

The only thing I dont understand is nearly check mating 25 year old Magnus but getting instantly ripped to pieces against 10 year old Magnus (Im 11 irl)

Ive been using this app for a while on my Samsung tablet, which is big and harder to transport than my iPhone. So I eventually forgot about this gem, however after a while, I saw an ad and I remembered this app, I knew I had to put it on my phone. I now use the app to practice my game. I use the different ages as targets to practice against, by training against the ages, one level at a time, I have a goal to achieve, and simultaneously improve my skills, as I am not often able to attend tournaments. Overall, this app is very useful and a good "rival" of sorts to train against. Thank you developers for making such a gem.
